About Mt Eliza Gardens Aged Care

Mt Eliza Gardens Aged Care is a brand new, 141 suite state-of-the-art aged care facility, located in Mt Eliza on the Mornington Peninsula.

Mt Eliza Gardens is architecturally designed with premium hotel-style accommodation that embraces older Australians in a place where they feel most comfortable, while still living in their local community.

The multi-level facility will provide care to residents with ageing in place programs offering all levels of care, as well as consulting suites for medical practitioners and allied health professionals.

The spacious and elegant facility consists of several separate wings, adjoining central lounges, café, bar, reception centre and provides an extensive range of services to assist residents in remaining active and engaged. We also offer a dedicated Memory Support Unit.

We take a person-centred approach to care, customising our services to meet the unique needs and preferences of residents.

About the Role

We currently have a vacancy for a vibrant and energetic Lifestyle Assistant to join our team to assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of our lifestyle support / activities programs.

This is a part-time role, including weekend shifts.

The successful candidate will have:

Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle
Knowledge of contemporary aged care specific Diversional Therapy activities
Strong knowledge and understanding of dementia/memory support
Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
An ability to build meaningful partnerships with residents
Excellent communication and time management skills
Additionally, you will need:

Current influenza vaccination
Three COVID-19 vaccinations
Current Police Check
