About the Role
The primary responsibility of the Senior Nurse Manager (Roving) is to provide support, direction and oversight of best practice clinical care ensuring the service is compliant against Commonwealth and State legislation, the Aged Care Accreditation Standards measures. In addition, when required, the role also provides leadership, direction, coaching of service team members to meet all requirements as guided by Arcare. The Senior Nurse Manager (Roving) is accountable to the State Operations Manager, Qld.
Your primary functions will be:
Experienced Senior Nurse Manager as a roving relief Manager and Clinical Lead roles if /as required
High level of safe provision of aged care support in residential aged care services that meets the social, physical, spiritual, cultural, and emotional needs of clients
Oversee to ensure efficient and effective management of all elder care and wellbeing is being delivered to best practice standard and as per the Arcare Policy and Procedures
To monitor and ensure effective care and service delivery to clients, families, team members and stakeholders
Assist Residence Manager and others in preparation for accreditation visits by the Quality Agency
Assist to develop team members understanding of aged care quality and compliance
Monitor quality indicators and report strengths and gaps in an objective way
The provision of guidance, direction, and clinical support to team members in residential care
Ensure appropriate and relevant reporting mechanisms are completed in a timely manner according to expectations
Liaise with Health Care Providers to ensure clinical care is delivered in a timely and appropriate manner
Identify potential operational problems, issues, obstacles, and barriers
Exemplify strong leadership and provide guidance, coach, and feedback to promote development of team members
Assist the State Operations Manager with projects and implementation activities (as directed)
Model and demonstrate extensive knowledge of Arcare’s Values, Relationship – centered model of care and Senses-framework
Skills & Experience
Current AHPRA Registration.
Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards
Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn.
Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
Friendly and effective communication abilities.
