Job Description

This position is based in Mollymook, a peaceful seaside town located on the South Coast of New South Wales, near Ulladulla. Mollymook boasts breathtaking coastal views and is approximately 150kms from Wollongong and 230kms from Sydney.

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing quality personal, social and emotional care and support to residents in accordance with Arcare‘s Values. You will play a crucial role in a resident’s overall wellbeing.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Personal Care: Assisting with activities such as showering, dressing, toileting, and grooming, maintaining the dignity and privacy of each resident.
Mobility support: Helping residents with walking, using mobility aids, or transferring between different positions including from a bed to a wheelchair.
Monitoring health: Observing and reporting any changes in the resident’s health or behavior.
Meal Assist: Supporting residents with their dietary requirements, ensuring they receive the food they need and assisting them in the process of eating.
Maintaining records: Keeping accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in the resident’s condition on eCase.
Collaboration with healthcare professionals: Working in collaboration with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our residents.

Skills & Experience

Cert III Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
Adaptable, passionate and willingness to learn.
Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
Friendly and effective communication abilities.
